In late March and mid November the Student Leadership Program members from the Aga Khan Academy, Nairobi had the opportunity to visit Lukenya for a retreat. During the retreat the group of 20 students and 2 teachers participated in a half day teams challenge course experience with BlueSky Adventures. The students had a chance to see leadership styles in action, the effects of poor and effective communication and how working as a team makes a difference! The experience ended with two high ropes experiences where some of us got an experience in flying and others in really testing their physical and mental abilities. The facilitators of BlueSky Adventures really created an impacting program for us and assisted us in bringing what we learned in our sessions to life. Thanks BlueSky Adventures! I am looking forward to return with more students in the future!

This year we sent both our outgoing and incoming Prefect bodies together for Leadership Training at BlueSky Adventures located at Lukenya. The prefects had a superb day and found that the activities planned and the personnel that they met really helped them to focus on their responsibilities as Prefects. The discussions they had after each activity helped them to analyze their role in leading others. It particularly helped the two groups to meld together such that as one girl said, "It was no longer 'them' or 'us' but 'we.'" Since doing the training, the group has worked well together and they feel the training was very worthwhile.
